Manual Handling Course (1/2 Day)

Incorrect manual handling is one of the most common causes of injury at work and it is the responsibility of all employers to provide adequate training. 

This course provides essential knowledge for anyone that is involved in manual handling of objects, desk based at a keyboard or standing in tiring positions for prolonged periods.  These are all common causes of musculoskeletal disorders such as back or joint pain.

The following is covered on the course:

  • The law and responsibilities of the employer and employee
  • Common manual handling injuries
  • Manual handling equipment
  • Risk assessment and hierachy of control
  • Theory of safe manual handling (preperation, solo and team lifts)
All attendees will recieve an attendance certificate (valid for 3 years)
